We changed our name

Hello crafties.

It's been a very very long time since I have posted anything on my blog. Life has been busy as always and we have moved into a house from our little apartment. My husband and I are very thankful to be able to move into our new home which will serve as a new nest and hopefully our family will grow in numbers soon in the near future. I have also decided to change the blog name from XhCreations to Loopyknots Handmade. I think it is easier to remember and it is kind of cute...

Let's switch over to the crafting side of this post...

For a couple of months now, I haven't really crafted too much with making cards or scrapbooking.

However, I have actually found my new love in making Baby mobiles. It all started around a year or two ago when my friend wanted me to help her complete her nursery by making a baby mobile.

She wanted a woodland theme and so I crocheted 4 cute little animals, a lion, bunny, koala, bear and ofcourse a smiling sun!

After that, I made 2 more mobiles as a baby shower gift for 2 of my colleagues. The first one was a fox sleeping in air balloon and the other one an elephant flying in the sky holding balloons. Check out these cuties below...

They are made with mixed media, ranging from yarn, felt, ribbons, pom pom trim, plastic doll eyes, embroidery hoop, etc...

Precious Moments Mini Album

Sometime ago I found my collection of old instant photo stickers and cards that you take usually at the arcades or the shopping mall... I thought it was kinda messy and I decided that it will be kinda cute to make them into a mini album and organize it a little bit.

Embellish Masculine Color Trends Challenge

Hello Everyone...

Sorry that I haven't been updating my blog... Have been Busy with life and recently got engaged on Valentine's day!!!! Here's a picture of me!Anyways, continuing to the card that I would like to share is for Embellish Magazine Masculine color trend Challenge... I love the color combination and this card was so easy to make... I usually have a really hard time trying to make manly cards but this was a breeze! My Fiance is left for our home country for a month vacation and unfortunately I could not take 1 month leave from work... So I made him this card and slid them in his laptop bag so he check it out when he`s at the airport... I am so going to miss him!

Also, I made this card for my fiance`s sister... She wanted to give a special card to her best friend. There`s actually an extra page inside to slide and glue 2 photos.

Santa Claus Wreath

Another Christmas wreath! I made this for my friend, Kendall... And I met her today and gave it to her. I'm glad that she likes them! Instead of the round wreath... I though a square one would be kinda different and cute. I had to roll dozens of the white paper to make the background... That was time consuming but totally worth it! The Santa claus is made out of red and creamy white felt using a silhouette machine design as a template... I actually did not have any red cardstock and thus I used felt which turned out better... I need to remember to buy red cardstock! And the papers are from the Echo Park Christmas collection.

Echo Park Christmas Wreath

Hello Everyone!

I have something really cute to share today... It is a christmas wreath! I used the Echo Park Christmas collection Papers... They are just perfect for the Christmas scene that I was trying to create on my wreath... It was supposedly for the front door... But I changed my mind because I was afraid it will go missing the next day! Hahahaha... I am too in love with it and really don't want to lose them... So It is staying Indoors!

Christmas Wreath

Mojo Monday 167 & 2S4Y Kazan Sketch 67

Today's card is inspired by Mojo Monday's Sketch 167 plus a tag using Kazan's Sketch 67 @ 2S4Y... I have chosen to do the round card instead and love how it turned out! And the tag just completes it! It actually took me probably an hour to make this card... Hahaha... But it is worth it... I had to rewrite "winter" again because initially I wrote it straight onto the purple paper and it was too distracting... And then I thought of giving it a little white paint and it now looks perfect...
